Living with the Seasons: Winter


During the Winter time, the weather is typically cold and damp. Many of the trees and flowers are hibernating, just like the bears.

The days are cold, damp, and contracted. These are qualities that can also create imbalances in our bodies. These imbalances can be seem in the body and mind as lethargy, colds, depression, heaviness, and weight gain. The kapha dosha is often a culprit to cause these issues during the winter months. Therefore, we must create more warmth and fire to maintain balance.
